Really fun race. This race kicks off the annual Cooper-Young festival and has an exciting, energetic vibe. The course goes through the Cooper-Young neighborhood and runners are cheered on by local residents during the 4 mile trek. Post race party featured plenty of food and beverage along with a good band. One of the most fun races I have run in Memphis.
Best road race I did in Memphis! Huge cash (store credit) prize for the male and female winners as well as a few other goodies. The entire race was lined with people at the front of their houses cheering you on as you’re running past, amazing atmosphere! Loved every step and also the post race activities were really great with live bands, acrobats putting on a performance and absolutely loads of food. Would recommend this to any runner, beginner or full-time athlete!!
Fun race through the adorable Cooper Young neighborhoods. Residents line the streets to cheer and offer refreshments!
Of the Memphis races I have run, this is probably the most fun. The residents of the neighborhood line the streets as you run by. Some are even hosting themed parties with dozens of people and decorations. The after party has plenty of food and drink and you get a long-sleeved shirt for participating.
One of the most lively races in Memphis. Lots of people line the course and cheer you on, some even decorate their homes! I like that this race is run in the evening!
This was my first 4-miler and I loved every second, from lining up at the start line to being one of the last at the after-party. Great people, great location. The only complaint is that they ran out of pizza so fast, but they did walk around giving away bananas before we left! I would definitely recommend doing this race. There was a constant line of friends/family/residents cheering you on through out the course.
I would recommend this race to anyone. It’s fun and lively enough to entertain casual runners, but a fairly competitive race for those looking to win an excellent overall or age group medal. It’s a staple race of Memphis that many look forward to each year.

Only if desperate
DON’T MISS IT!
Not much to see
Lots to see
Mt. Everest like ascents!
Where are the down hills?
Just a little speed bump
Hills? What hills?
Where’s the food?
Could be better
Great food! Great entertainment!
